Girl Scouts discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together, and you can be a part of it! Girls can join Girl Scouts at different age levels:

* Girl Scout Brownies, grades 2 - 3
* Girl Scout Juniors, grades 4 - 6
* Girl Scout Cadettes, grades 6 - 8
* Girl Scout Seniors, grades 9 - 12
* Girl Scout Juliettes, grades 1 - 12, non-troop affiliated

Girls are able to participate in Girl Scouting through a variety of ways, including joining a group, attending summer camp, or participating as an individual, known as a Girl Sccout Juliette.

Each troop raises its own funds for the activities it plans through troop dues, money-earning activities, and the product sales programs. Girl Scouts may also choose to purchase uniforms, insignia, and books to enhance their Girl Scouting expereince.

Adults 18 years of age or older can join Girl Scouts to speak at a Girl Scout event, volunteer to assist a troop/group, offer serices at the council level, reconnect as an alumnae, or simply believe in the Girl Scout Mission and want to show support by becoming a member.

Who are Girl Scout Juliettes?

Different Way to Participate-Juliettes are individually registered Girl Scouts.

Although registering girls outside a troop or group is nothing new to the Girl Scouts, the organization is now searching for new ways to actively involve girls registered individually.

Why do girls register as individuals and not as a member of troop or group?
The reasons are many. Though the Juliettes designation is available to all age levels, it's especially popular among Girl Scouts 11-17 who are very busy with other activities. Besides time constraints, other reasons a girl might prefer individual participation is that she lives in a rural or isolated area or she may have difficulty coordinating with other girls' or adults' schedules
